This is an interesting and practical read dissecting the nature of how to be happy by being aware (of your body, relationships, environment). The book won't make you happy - that is still your job; the book gives practical steps to help you discover your own happiness. The author has traveled extensively around the World, and has definitely researched the field and brought back a lot of useful information. The book gives a formula to calculate your level of subjective well being; it lays out the basic daily routine of Ayurveda to help you with balance; and tells you about the wisdom of the First Nations (eg. The Teachings of Seven Grandfathers). I like that the author has taken a dry topic (can you really discuss happiness?) and made it a guide with practical examples and routines that help you be more aware of yourself and surroundings and thereby set you on your own journey to find happiness.
