Add a CommentTerrific story. Edie Kiglatuk really took you to a far away attic of the globe where the thrum of life frosts over and thaws a bit more slowly. She was as enjoyable to read as Precious Ramotswe's adventures in Africa. Alexander McCall Smith paces that marvelous character in equatorial heat. Fun read.
I enjoyed reading this book and learning about the Inuit/Inuk culture but in the end the mystery portion of the book seemed a bit far fetched and hard to believe. Worth it to read the book for the interesting characters. I would read more by this author.
Was an interesting book, but I found myself just reading to find out what happened, not really interested in the details by the end.
A fascinating, captivating story about a daring and determined young woman in a culture and part of the world that is not often explored. I couldn't put it down.
