Add a CommentOctavia has many questions as she searches for the big question. Why do bad things happen, like Hurricane Katrina and 9/11, or what is the meaning of life, or is there a God? Octavia is also obsessed with the letter “O”. It is her favourite letter as she finds it cool and smooth. She likes to summarize her day with words beginning with “O”. As Octavia is trying to answer these big questions, she realizes her mom, Ray is searching too. As the book progresses, Octavia’s questions turn more too questioning religion while her mom joins a religious group and takes Octavia with her. Octavia, a non-believer struggles with this group and what is happening to her family. This book has a bit of religious content that may offend some. Reviewed by BPL staff MH
