Another work of art by Melissa de la Cruz. Can you tell that I’m on a kick for reading them at the moment? Because I am since I’m finishing up this series. But back to this story. All the way through it I felt compelled to read it. For me Jack and Schuyler’s story turned a bit cheesy with their love and everything but still very good. I’m glad that there are not really any love triangles anymore since those annoy me so much anymore. Hint to authors: do something different than introduce a love triangle because they’re becoming played out. The book was split into four parts. I enjoyed the second and third the most. Second was from Mimi’s standpoint; now I’m not too big of a Mimi fan but I love reading things from my least favorite’s perspective to help me see what they’re going through. By the end I found myself liking her better. A nice turn from constantly disliking her. Third part I enjoyed… well I’ll get to that in my next little paragraph. A new character was introduced. Deming Chen was her name. I felt very attached to her. Even though I’m a guy and she’s a girl and all I felt that I was the most like her. She was good with reading people and was a fun, driven in her job, character. The whole of part three was dedicated to her. I always love a new character that has depth, like she did, being thrown into the mix. Now the bad guy. Impressive, Cruz, impressive. First you have a half human and half Blue Blood in there and now a whole new race, I’m guessing there’s an army too, of half human and half Silver Blood. Impressive. I was not expecting that turn one little bit. I applaud you at that because not too many things give me turns in books. I’m glad with this plot twist and I hope that the next book goes more on this new thing. During the book I felt as though I was reading a murder mystery. At least in part two and three I did. I love me a good murder mystery. Missing person, killings. If you have that you’ve got me because I want to know who the killer is. I regret that I sped through it so fast. I wish I could have slowed down to try and deduce, as Sherlock would do, the book. For people wanting to read this I highly recommend that you read it before reading Bloody Valentine, the last book that I reviewed. The stories will make more sense if you do.
I found this book out of all the blue blood series a bit surprising. Melissa added a new character, and a new enemy, and i found that a bit odd. But i guess that's what makes the series more interesting.
i liked mimi's part in this book more than Schyler's part. this was prob my least fav blue bloods book i was a bit disappointed but there were still some good parts
Lots of things happened and not. i was a bit disappointed with this one. At the beginning i thought it was going to be about Schyler and Jack and some great thing was going to happen. But what did happen was huge. A huge change in Mimi Force though was quite intersting. Hopfully the next one is better.
At first I was a little hesitant as to if I should read this book or not. Since I didnt like Van Alen Legacy. But Misguided Angel was very good! I'm very glad to have given the series another chance and am looking forward to the next book!!!
Quite better than the 'Van Alen Legacy'. Seeing Mimi Force in a role of responsibility and leadership was great for character development. The Schuyler+Jack parts weren't as interesting.
