Add a CommentI viewed My Three Sons (a TV Sit-Com that began in 1960) as a poor-man's "Leave It To Beaver", which this show oftentimes seemed to imitate... I found that generally the characters here were bland, and the scripts weak, and usually not very funny.... And actor Fred MacMurray, as Steve Douglas, the father figure of the household, was a lousy role model, whose character, far too often, seemed unbelievably apathetic and in no way helpful when it came to the concerns of his 3 growing sons.
