Deep-sea explorer Brock Lovett has reached the most famous shipwreck of all, the passenger liner, Titanic. Emerging with a safe believed to contain a diamond called 'The Heart of the Ocean,' he finds that the safe does not hold the diamond but a drawing of a beautiful woman wearing it. When Brock is interviewed on TV, he shows the drawing to the cameras. A 100-year-old woman named Rose Calvert recognizes the woman in the drawing - herself! On a visit to Brock's exploration ship over the wreck, Rose tells her story of the Titanic and its ill-fated voyage. Engaged to the very rich Cal Hockley, she boards the Titanic's first-class suites with him and her mother in Southampton. Winning a lucky poker game, Jack Dawson and his friend Fabrizio, board Titanic in steerage. When Rose attempts to jump off the stern in 3rd class, Jack pulls her back onto the ship. The two instantly bond and Jack is invited to dine in 1st-class the next evening. Rose's mother and Cal try desperately to keep them apart. But on that fateful night, the Titanic collides with an iceberg and begins to sink. Now Rose and Jack must fight to stay alive.

"The Heart of the Ocean". This is a great movie. I watched it again in blueray high definition; watched all the special features and i loved it. I only wish I had gone to see the 3D version in the theaters.

An updated edition of the film. The Jack and Rose love story never really worked for me- there were all sorts of more interesting real stories to draw from- and I might have preferred seeing Thomas Andrews as the focus; Victor Garber is really good in the role. The sinking of the ship sequence is outstanding, though, and still holds up well as time passes. This edition worked better from my point of view because of an hour of additional deleted and extended scenes, one of which has an alternate ending in the present day. It's a sequence between Bill Paxton, Suzi Amis, and Gloria Stuart that really has a splendid character transformation for Paxton. Very much worth seeing.

I love this movie. It's romantic, supenseful, and really grips your heart. I just don't like seeing it all the time because I don't feel like bringing out a tissue box and crying my eyes out. Every person in the world has to at least see Titanic one time. It truly is amazing , a real event we'll never forget, and unfailing love we'll never forget. Five Stars.

omg i cried and cried and cried and cried and cried..... this movie is sooooo good!!!!! its a mix of romance, survival and adventure. I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!
