This is a good book. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading the second book.

best begining and ending

The book Eragon is about a simple farm boy who lives in a place called Carvahall which is in a country called Alagasia. The book starts off with Eragon hunting in a forest called the Spine which is supposed to be some really scary forest where a bunch of people from Carvahall have died, so while Eragon is hunting an elf girl by the name of Arya is getting attacked by an evil magician named Durza. I know what some of you may be thinking, this a pretty boring beginning for a book but trust me it only gets better from here on out . I’ve read a couple of other reviews about this book most of them were negative. Most of them said that this book was a rip off from lord of the rings but I would say only where the battles are concerned, so only a couple of similarities. So while Eragon is hunting in the Spine he spies a deer, so as Eragon takes aim Arya and her team of elves have blindly walked into a trap set by Durza and his team of Urgal’s. Okay you are probably wondering what in the world is an Urgal!? Well I’ll tell you, an Urgal is a bald light brown creature with huge muscles and horns protruding from their temples, very close to a giant. Now back to the story. Arya’s teammates have been killed and she is carrying something very precious to the tyrant king Galbatorix. A smooth round blue stone. At this point Arya is very desperate so she tries to send the stone to her old friend Brom who happens to be and old story teller that lives in carvahall but instead of the stone going to Brom, it goes to Eragon while he’s hunting in the spine so when the stone appears it scares away the deer Eragon is about to kill. So instead of going back empty handed he take’s the stone home in an attempt to sell it. But in the middle of the night Eragon wakes up to a odd sound which turns out to be the stone while he’s looking at it a small hole appears and that is when he realizes it is not a stone but an egg and out comes a baby dragon. Now if you want to know what happens next I suggest you read the book.

After about 150 pages, I had to put it down and go, "Really, dude? Have an original thought." I realize that the author was only fifteen, but so much of the narrative is obviously re-worked from other sci-fi/fantasy classics (Star Wars, Tolkien, etc). And the dialogue is painful.

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS SERIES IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Although several sad things happen such as: *mph* dies, and he turns out to be *mphs* father, and then *mph* and *mph* die, and *mph* and *mph* are distraught!!!!! that is as close as I can come to not ruining the series for you who have not read it! and if you haven't read it, you need to do so right now!!!!!! I am ready for the last book and I can't wait! I really want to know what happens, but I don't want the cycle to end!!!!!

This books takes a bit to get into but after that its just amazing, the series is just full of twists and turns so if there's something you don't understand it will be explained throughout the series. This is the most sophisticated fantasy series I've ever read.

Eragon told Saphira, "You should land somewhere now and hide. We're going in." "Sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. Again." She said sourly. "I know. But Brom and I have some advantages most people don't. We'll be all right." "If anything happens, I'm going to bind you to my back and never let you off." "I love you too." "Then I will bind you all the tighter."
